European Tree of the Year
The winner of the Tree of the Year contest is the Elm thee from Căpeni (Köpec), Covasna County

The voting period of the Tree of the Year contest ended on 31st October 2011.

The winner of the contest is the Elm tree from Căpeni (Köpec), Covasna County, obtaining 13.096 votes. On the second place is the oak tree from Taietura, Harghita County, with 12.724 votes and the third place was won by the Sycamore tree from Timisoara with 2.270 votes.


The winner of the Romanian contest will participate on the European Tree of the Year international contest and it is promoted by the Europa FM.
